AJ grew up as Alicia in London, Ontario. Being surrounded by the greenbelts around the Thames River shaped her initial passion for the natural world. London was also where she attended Fanshawe College for her Fine Arts Diploma.

After graduation, she then moved to the East Coast, to attend the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design to get her Bachelors of Fine Arts - Interdisciplinary Degree. AJ has always dabbled in different mediums, and is known just as much for her painting and illustration as she is her photography, digital media, and everything in between.

After finishing her studies in 2009, she moved to the West Coast and found her footing amongst the coastal mountains of North Vancouver as she continued to explore her art practice.

Endlessly fascinated by both nature and the limitless amount of mediums available, AJ has continued her art practice in sometimes surprising directions. In early 2018, she began working at Anthony Jamieson Design Studio as Lead Artist. Specializing in custom architectural glass, she has been able to combine her skills in illustration, photography, and sculpture to create one-of-a-kind panels for clients across the world.
